SteelCloud: 1st to Market with Intel 1.7GHz Xeon(TM) Appliance

DULLES, Va., Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/-- SteelCloud Inc. (Nasdaq: SCLD), a leader in the development of turnkey network appliance solutions, today announced the availability of an advanced enterprise-scale appliance platform built around Intel's newest Xeon(TM) processor and 860 chipset. The product, designated ``X42,'' is designed for the most demanding network applications implemented on an appliance platform.

The X42 appliance platform is available immediately in either a single or dual Intel 1.7GHz Xeon(TM) configuration with 256MB to 2GB of RDRAM and 18GB to 365GB of disk capacity in a 2U rack-mount chassis. The system was certified using Red Hat (Nasdaq: RHAT) Linux 7.0 and 7.1 as well as Microsoft Windows 2000 SP2. Pricing starts at under $2,300 in OEM quantities.
